José Miguel Garavito

José earned his law degree from Chapman University Fowler School of Law and was admitted to the California State Bar on November 13, 2024. As a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, he remains actively engaged in the legal community while continuing to develop his litigation skills and commitment to client advocacy.

José’s passion for the law began at a young age in Venezuela, where he was known for mediating conflicts between other children—even before he fully understood what being a lawyer meant. After moving to the United States, he continued stepping into the role of mediator, helping resolve disputes between classmates despite language barriers and advocating in Spanish when others could not communicate. This natural instinct for problem-solving and fairness laid the foundation for his legal career.

His path to personal injury law became deeply personal after his father was struck by a drunk driver, requiring José to work closely with a personal injury attorney during a difficult and emotional time for his family. Witnessing how meaningful legal representation could be in moments of crisis inspired him to pursue a career focused on helping injured people navigate the legal system and secure justice.
